Wrick's Entirely Digital HCD With Color

Aloha all ye mighty HCD fans. ...okay, okay and air conditioners too!

Just so you know, i'm trying to find my way. ...again.

These panels - written and drawn - are all entirely done on my computer. . . that is - they are all entirely digital. amazing, yes? okay, amazing to me - and way fun too.

...mostly i used my Wacom Cintiq - one of the new versions of a pen and tablet. just so you know...

...have fun.

Yes i almost missed the fact that i had started.

...with Color.

...and of course then my real day began. ...


...and then my real day ended because i had other things to do too.

...however of course any day is right for having fun, yes. have fun. aloha.

HCD Panel for May, 2009

hmmm.. i suspect i've lost some of that ability to deliver a comic sense to these panels. still... this is what i did on May Day, 2009. Cheers on a comic day. ...ok, it's May 3rd. it's still a comic day, yes.

...and what's really funny. . . ok, fun... this entire panel was done using my new (ok, relatively new) digital toy. yup, i plunged in. i did this on a Wacom Cintiq. have fun.

One Day A Month!

Wow, way cool on HCD making the rounds of a calendar.

Learning in the ways I have through my HCD attempts has astonished me. Thank YOU.

Sheesh. Nope, that's not rain. ...altho it could be. It's mostly just life. In the normal sort of way.

It's clear to me now that I can do it - something i was not sure of at all a year ago... ...and I can do it around the clock, even tho I miss some months. Heck, I've probably missed some months most of my life. Even so, I still want to play.

Seeing you keep at it, seeing your efforts, is inspiring. I'm going to keep trying too. I suspect my efforts will evolve - I'm seeing that a little more clearly now. So even if I only get one - and hopefully two and more - pieces a month, I'm still going to play on some day, in some way, every month if possible for as long as you keep going. May be even on the last day of the month. I'm just not going to give up the iceberg until every day has sunk, in which case I'll crawl up on the next iceberg on the next day and aim at every day of that next month too. It may be like this month, one piece (ok two, i did two postcards like this one, one is for Naiviv if she likes it).

Rain humor. hmmmmm.... ok. let it be wet then. ok, it's high winds and high surf too. way cool on the big surf. ...well... watching it anyway. . . ...i'm not going out there on those 35' to 40' wave faces today.

Yup - odd yuck about clicking images to see bigger works (so you can read what the panel says), now that clicking puts it on your desktop too. hmmmm...

If you do want to see things easily readable: Click an image - then when you're pau (finished) you can clear/delete the files/images from your desktop . ...or... snicker-chortle when ever you need some (weird) rain humor. . .

P.S.
Server outage followed by power outages here on Dec. 4, 2007 meant that i wasnt able to get my HCD up on the 4th. - so... now i'm trying again - on Dec. 5th. this weather - wind, rain, high surf is expected through the week end... so... more of the same and if i disappear... that's where i probably am.

Wrick’s June 1, 2007 HCD #004 – Center … ok, Slightly Off Center… of the big Pacific puddle. Star date 004 dot 20 dot panels dot 0f dot 0h. … wait. That’s something else…

…waiting and waiting and waiting. I was so busy waiting for HCD to begin… that I missed the beginning of it. In fact I noticed HCD had begun almost 3 hours after it began. Then I spent the rest of the 24-hour day trying to catch up and going so fast that I got further behind the faster I went until I’d catch up and then get behind again. But its ok, cause I ended my 24-hour HCD about 24 hours later at 2:24 AM…

Is life normal this way?
Cause mine sure is.

Further more as I worked I realized how far out and off the world I had stepped recently . . . but that’s normal too. Sheesh.

So here ya go, my permanent-and-falling-normal-race-to-get-behind AND catch-up HOURLY COMIC DAY of sorts – which is also probably why I’m posting on the 5th after I did HCD on the 1st... Hey was that really an alien spacecraft normal kinda day I saw someplace?
